Meghan DiMuzio Announced as New Executive Director of the Coalition for App Fairness

With Executive Director, CAF Builds Momentum to Champion Antitrust Policy Worldwide

WASHINGTON AND BRUSSELS – The Coalition for App Fairness (CAF) today announced Meghan DiMuzio as its first Executive Director. DiMuzio brings nearly 20 years of public affairs experience at the state, federal, and international level and arrives at a pivotal moment of growth for CAF and amidst global scrutiny of app stores and their anti-competitive policies. In only five months, the young coalition of industry-leading companies from across the app ecosystem has expanded from 13 members to more than 50 members worldwide.

“With calls for antitrust legislation gaining momentum globally, it is an honor to join the Coalition for App Fairness at this critical time,” said Meghan DiMuzio, Executive Director of CAF. “No competition, no options, and no recourse has been the accepted way for far too long. This monopolistic behavior reduces quality and innovation, leading to higher prices and fewer choices for consumers. Every device user should expect unlimited choice when it comes to their own purchasing power, and every developer should have access to a level playing field. I am excited to work in collaboration with CAF’s members to advocate for a fairer marketplace for app developers and the many consumers who depend on apps for news, social connection, entertainment, and more.”

Through its App Store Principles, CAF’s work advances the belief that every app developer is entitled to fair treatment and consumers should have complete control over their own devices. The coalition is committed to advancing state, federal, and international policy solutions that address the current anticompetitive business practices of the Apple App Store and other app stores.
