Coalition for App Fairness Statement on Approval of IAP Legislation in Korea SIBC Committee

WASHINGTON, D.C. –Today, Meghan DiMuzio, executive director for The Coalition for App Fairness (CAF), released the following statement regarding the approval of IAP legislation in Korea’s SIBC Committee:

“The Korea Science, ICT, Broadcasting and Communications Committee’s bold action approving legislation that would encourage competition, innovation, and consumer choice builds on the momentum behind IAP efforts in the United States. It demonstrates a growing recognition that monopolistic practices are harming consumers and developers, and bolsters hope that governments around the world will take action to level the playing field against these App Store gatekeepers.”
