65,000+ Businesses and App Developers Call for Stronger Enforcement of the Digital Markets Act

The Coalition for App Fairness today sent a letter to the Members of the European Parliament’s ECON and IMCO Committees, calling for urgent action to enforce the EU’s Digital Markets Act (DMA). This letter was signed by app developers, publishers, digital service providers and associations representing over 65,000 businesses worldwide.

The letter highlights continued anti-competitive practices by Apple and Google, which are now illegal under the DMA. Apple and Google undermine the DMA through tactics that hinder innovation and fair competition. The signatories stress that robust enforcement is needed under the new European Commission to bring these tech giants into compliance.

The signatories call on the European Parliament to continue the work within the working group on the DMA and hold gatekeepers accountable.
