WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today the Coalition for App Fairness (CAF) announced Fanfix, an exclusive brand-friendly content platform empowering creators to do what they love while earning, is joining the coalition to support the fight for a fair, competitive, and open mobile app marketplace. Fanfix is home to more than seven million fans and creators globally. However, Apple and Google’s anticompetitive practices hamper their growth and directly harm the creators who depend on Fanfix to generate revenue.
“Fanfix exists to empower creators so that they can provide fans with the content they love,” said Harry Gestetner, Founder and Co-CEO of Fanfix. “We’re proud to join the Coalition and will be relentless advocates for federal policy that will promote free and fair competition, foster innovation, and deliver the best products and lowest prices for consumers and fans.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Fanfix to the coalition. The creator economy continues to grow. However, creators and their fans, like everyone in the mobile app ecosystem, are harmed by Apple and Google’s anticompetitive app store practices,” said Rick VanMeter, Executive Director of the Coalition for App Fairness. “We’re glad that Fanfix has joined our coalition and look forward to working together to pass common sense legislation that will create a fair, competitive mobile app marketplace that truly benefits consumers and creators.”
