Coalition for App Fairness Statement on Digital Markets Act Trilogue Agreement

BRUSSELS– The Coalition for App Fairness welcomes today’s outcome of the final trilogue meeting and the provisional agreement reached on the EU Digital Markets Act (DMA) between the European Parliament and the Council.

“We commend EU policymakers on this significant step towards the fight for a free and fair mobile app ecosystem and look forward to reviewing the details of the agreement,” said Coalition for App Fairness executive director Rick VanMeter. “We believe a strong DMA will stimulate competition and foster innovation. We stand ready to support the European Commission’s efforts to ensure effective and successful enforcement that levels the playing field for developers and provides more choices for consumers.”
