Coalition for App Fairness Applauds Advancement of The American Choice and Innovation Online Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. –Today, Meghan DiMuzio, executive director for The Coalition for App Fairness (CAF), released the following statement after the U.S. House Judiciary Committee’s markup of the American Choice and Innovation Online Act (H.R. 3816):

“Consumers and app developers across the globe have the right to a fair and competitive digital economy. Today’s markup of the American Choice and Innovation Online Act is a step toward holding platforms accountable for monopolistic behavior. We are pleased to see the committee advance this vital piece of legislation that will put Apple on notice for their anticompetitive practices, and we thank Representatives Cicilline and Buck for their leadership on this issue.” — Meghan DiMuzio, Executive Director of the Coalition for App Fairness.
